m&m

hihi

 i haven't done a music thing in a while
and i've definitely been listening a lot lately
even in the absence of my beloved marleys

so,
a follow up to lundi covers,
i have for you today,
m&m - mondays & music
^omg so clever^

maybe this will be a regular monday thing, idk

Track One
Avicii Liar Liar True

hey so,
i'm not the biggest house or Avicii fan
but i do give him a listen once in a while
and i do think Wake Me Up was a great track

but
Avicii's debut album, True, pretty much changed things for me

i tried out a few tracks, but Liar Liar is by far my favorite
maybe because i like electronic with female vocalists
or maybe i just like the riff, i really don't know

but i love how this one isn't too heavy or loud
as many of his popular tracks
i like the direction Avicii's going in
#good4uAvicii

Track Two
TheWeeknd Wanderlust (Pharrell Remix) Kiss Land

WOOOOOO~
everyone loves the weekend
and ofc, TheWeeknd, too
and who doesnt like a nice twist on the song
even better, its Pharrell !! o:

less R&B, more electronic
less bass-y beats, more claps
less booms, more beeps
#yes

i strongly recommend you listen to his new album,
Kiss Land.
tracks like Love In The Sky and Tears In The Rain are just amazing
a. ma. zing.

Track Three
Damien Rice The Animals Were Gone 9

my favorite song to walk to,
sleep to,
blog to,
and just about do anything to atm

Damien Rice is a favorite of mine,
and Lisa Hannigan's voice i would marry if i could.
they sound great as solos,
but the synergy they create in duets is just omg

i love how many of Damien's songs are so gentle
and have that nostalgic and romantic tone
it just makes me want to roll around in autumn leaves
but if i did that in Korea, i'd smell like gingkos
mmmmm sexy.

Track Four
Holy Ghost! Okay Dynamics

if anyone sees me dancing with earphones in my ears in the next few days
i'll probably be jamming out to this by myself
although i'm unsure of what kind of dance i'll be doing
tap dance?

aside from the fact that i love synth-pop
and aside from the fact that the album art is crazy
Okay by Holy Ghost! is just a great track

the synth lines aren't as strong as many of their other tracks
( for example, It Gets Dark has a very strong bass synth line )
and i think it's an easy listen for even those who aren't synth-pop's biggest fan
almost like a chiptune.
but not really.
yafeel?

Last Track
Miley Cyrus We Can't Stop (The Jane Doze Bootleg)

BEFORE,
you regurgitate your last meal
or cringe that the sheer sight of Miley Cyrus' name
or decide to stop reading my blog ever
click play and listen to the beautifully trappy bootleg that is this tune

when this turned up as Song Of The Day on Indieshuffle,
i was hesitant to even put my mouse near the play button
but, if you've pressed play, you'll know.
i'm amazed that We Can't Stop could be this great

and props to Jane Doze
for being the first female artist in while
that has grabbed my attention with remixes
you're great, Jane, just great.

i really can't stop playing this track
sorry, that was so corny

anyways, i hope this trappy goodness
makes your monday night just a lil more exciting and upbeat

--

that's all for now folks !!

5 tracks from different genres that y'all can spend a good 30 minutes listening to

have a great week ~
